DONATE

At the heart of our mission is presenting opportunities for engaging through the arts to everyone in our community. We strive to keep our ticket prices as low as possible, and to make the arts accessible to all households regardless of means.

In 2024, we have presented 25 concerts, 41 films, and 26 theatrical performances. We’ve also provided quality theatre-arts education to over 450 students via InterACT, After School, Summer Camp, and Field Trips, and over 100 adults have participated in community theatre, storytelling, and improv and acting workshops. The response to our educational offerings has been enthusiastic, and we couldn’t be prouder of these future performers, creators, and technicians

We have made incredible progress in growing our audience and our membership. We have impressed performers with the beauty and acoustics of our performance space and the competence and warmth of our staff. We’re running a tight ship, but we’ve also got an urgent need for financial support that will fill our sails for the journey ahead.

Now, as we continue to enrich our programming, your help remains critical. The fact is that this level of quality programming, as well as upkeep and maintenance of a historic building, can be expensive to deliver. We’re adamant that we keep our ticket pricing reasonable as a commitment to affordability for our local community.  You can help us make up the difference. We thank you in advance for playing your part in strengthening this community through the support of arts and culture. Please give as generously as you can.

Individual and Corporate Donations -

The Waldo only exists today thanks to the generosity of donors like you.  Because of your past generosity, we were able to convert one of Maine’s “Most Endangered Historic Places” into a jewel of the Maine coast.

Now, as we continue to enrich our programming, your help remains critical. The fact is that world-class quality performing arts and films, as well as upkeep and maintenance of a historic building, can be expensive to deliver. We’re adamant that we keep our ticket pricing reasonable as a commitment to affordability for our local community.  You can help us make up the difference.

Tributes and Memorial Gifts -

A gift to the The Waldo Theater can be a beautiful and meaningful way to mark the passing of a friend or family member, especially those who were lovers of the arts, theater or music. Your gift in their name and memory will help ensure that The Waldo we can continue to deliver both world-class performances and arts-inspired community programs.  You will also receive a letter of thanks, and we will notify the family of the deceased.  A gift to The Waldo is a beautiful way to honor your loved one when words simply aren’t enough.

Bequest Gifts -

A gift in your will is one of the easiest ways to create your legacy of supporting performing arts and arts-driven community programs in Midcoast Maine. Whether you’re a year-round local resident, or summer visitor, if you’re like many arts lovers, you may feel that theater, music, dance and films have enriched your life in more ways than can be described. If that’s true, there’s nothing more powerful you could do as part of your legacy than to help our small, beautiful theater continue the tradition of bringing engaging arts, artists, and community art programs to our local area. Please reach out to your financial advisor for further guidance on the possible tax benefits of a bequest in your will to The Waldo Theater.
